S/S Fashion Trends , The Ones to Watch

This coming spring/summer for Australia fashion scene looks set to be a strong season for bold colours, romantic embellishments, punk and 70’s reincarnations. Simplicity is also an overriding message, stripping back and cherishing more basic looks. Expect minimal silhouettes,  and a childlike simplicity of primary colours balanced by a range of cool blues, aquatic turquoises and peacock tones, with the stark contrast of white.  Simple fabrics, such as smooth flat cottons, poplin, denim and chambray will make their mark, along with more romantic delicate fabrics; lace, whitework, broderie anglaise and crochet. It’ll be a strong print season too, bold, confident pattern clashes and florals.

Pastoral Romance: Lacy ruffles, florals and chambrays embracing a bucolic feminie romp.

70’s Hit Parade: 70's continues to be a key inspiration with looks that cross from hippy boho to a more sophisticated YSL-inspired luxe safari.

Rocker: 70’s punk is also an inspiration

Modernist Resort: As are a continuing feel for simple basics
